Underwater Inspection, Maintenance and Repairing Services for Class Complacence, Insurance Compliance Maritime and Civil Engineering Requirements

In relation to any kind of underwater inspection, in water survey, underwater examination, (class or civil engineering), three types of underwater visual inspections are always carried out: visual inspection type I (Carry out a distance greater than one meter or more), visual inspection Type II (requires cleaning and analysis of what was found) and visual inspection Type III (which requires application of Non-Destructive testing or NDT). The type of visual inspection is applied as required by the client's program or as required by the results obtained from an inspection.

In underwater inspection of ship`s, underwater inspection in dry dock of vessel, platforms, barges or any underwater structure, they are carried out with the help of the underwater video recording. All damage or suspected damage must be recorded, evaluated and located referencing them with the drawing and evidenced with photos and / or video.
In all underwater inspections of vessels, ship, barge or platforms, they are carried out with the help of the underwater video capture using CCTV and the entire inspection procedure is always attested by the class Surveyor and / or client.

The names of specific services requested by clients, class or companies that carry out civil works or maritime engineering are the following:

Inspections such as UWILD or In-water Survey or Submarine inspections in lieu of dry dock to barges, drilling platforms, jack up platforms, MODUs, semi-submergible platforms, Drilling ships, have to be done by Specialized Industrial Divers using professional equipment with two-way communication and CCTV generating evidence or records of photography or video. all attested by the surveyor or client.

When underwater inspections are being performed to the Ship’s Hull or Drilling Platforms or semi-submergible platforms, all findings have to be recorded, evaluated and located at the drawings and backed with photos or video. In all the inspections are practiced Inspections of type I, Type II and Type III according to the program requirements and the Visual inspections with submarine video or “swim by”. If during the underwater inspection Type I damage are suspected or detected, the submarine inspection type II is applied and depending on the results, it is decided to proceed with the inspection type III with the Non-destructive testing & All according to the circumstances and conditions of the inspection and criteria of the technician level II and the Surveyor.
